Phillip Clements
Phillip Clements is the newly appointed Executive Director-Designate for the Texas Bandmasters Association, having recently retired as Director of Bands and Instrumental Activities at East Texas A&M University.
Mr. Clements served for eight years on the Board of Directors of TBA, most notably as President in 2020, guiding the association through the pandemic by providing the first-ever virtual convention, and in 2021 by helping to usher in the return of an in-person event. In 2024 he was honored by TBA with the Meritorious Achievement Award.
He is a Past-President of the Texas Bandmasters Association and a member of the Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, and College Band Director’s National Association. He is an elected member of the Phi Beta Mu honorary bandmaster’s fraternity and in 2018 was honored with membership in the prestigious American Bandmasters Association.
