Dr. Anthony King
Dr. Anthony J. King holds a bachelor’s degree in music education from the University of Central Florida, where he studied under Professors Jeffrey Moore, Kirk Gay and Jim Yakas.
In 2008, King attained a master’s degree in percussion performance from the University of Nevada at Las Vegas.
In 2014, King completed the Doctorate of Musical Arts degree at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas where he arranged for the Texas Tech University Goin’ Band marching percussion section, Zeta Iota Tau until 2016.
King currently resides in Plainview, Texas where after three years as the Assistant Director of Bands and Percussion Coordinator in charge of the Plainview High School Percussion Program, he returns to Wayland Baptist University’s newly named School of Creative Arts as the Director of Athletic Bands and Associate Professor of Instrumental Studies.
